Chitturi Heritage ("we", "our", "us") operates the Chitturi Heritage mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name and mobile phone number, verified by SMS OTP.
• Delivery information: your delivery address and location (approximate and precise) so we can deliver your order.
• Order information: the items you order, order history, and preferences.
• Payment information: processed securely by our third-party payment provider Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our servers.
• Device information: basic device model, OS version, and app version, used for crash reporting and to improve reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To accept, prepare, and deliver your food orders.
• To send order status updates and delivery-partner details via SMS or in-app notifications.
• To verify your identity via SMS OTP.
• To process refunds, respond to support requests, and improve the Service.
• To comply with applicable laws (e.g., GST invoicing, food-safety records).

3. Sharing of Information

We share the minimum information necessary with:

• Delivery partners: your name, delivery address, and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
• Payment processor (Razorpay): to complete transactions securely.
• SMS provider (2Factor / MSG91): to send OTP and order notifications.
• Map provider (Google Maps): to show delivery tracking and calculate routes.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Data Security

Your data is stored on secured Supabase (PostgreSQL) servers with row-level security. Communication with our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Payment details are never stored on our servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and order history for as long as your account is active, or as required by law (typically 7 years for financial records under Indian tax law). You may request deletion of your account at any time.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Access or correct your personal information from within the app.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us.
• Withdraw consent for location access via your device settings (note: this will disable delivery tracking).

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
